Rosemount is a city located in Dakota County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 14,619. Rosemount is home to the Pine Bend Refinery, owned by Flint Hills Resources, which is the largest oil refinery in Minnesota and the 14th-largest in the United States.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 91.0 km2 (35.1 mi2). 87.2 km2 (33.7 mi2) of it is land and 3.8 km2 (1.5 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 4.18% water.
